United Technologies Research Center (China) Ltd. invites qualified individuals to apply for the following position in the Shanghai office. This position will compensate the chosen candidate at the local Shanghai market wage rate, and benefits will be administered based on local Shanghai benefit practices.
Energy and Mechanical Systems: Senior Research Engineer
Job Requirements: · Solid background in dynamic modeling of rotating machinery (gear meshing, rolling element bearings, rotor, etc.) and model-based health monitoring and diagnostics. · Familiar with fault diagnosis and prognosis of mechanical systems, signal processing techniques for feature extraction of mechanical faults. · Ability to provide timely, accurate and detailed reports and presentations.
Preferred Candidates will possess the following: · Master or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related area. · 3+ years experience in mechanical condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. · In-depth knowledge of rotating machinery is preferred. · Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in both China and USA · Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills
