看看帮助吧overlap 在很多时候和partition的确效果是一样的partiton可以在不同维数的元素间进行吧
The partition commands will join two or more entities to create three or more new entities that encompass all parts of the originals. The end result is similar to an "overlap" operation if the overlap is of the same dimensionality as the original entities. However, unlike the overlap operations, non-overlapping input entities will not be deleted.

glue可以把有重叠边界的面粘在一起;overlap是把重叠的部分求交;partition与glue 作用一样,但没有参加叠分的几何对象将不被删除.他们都可以把几何对象形成具有公共边界
